Status Effect Guide

Information About All the Different Status Effects

Negative status effects are things that can be applied to your opponent through skills that can vary greatly in what they do. The five main status effects are burn, bleed, rupture, sinking, and tremor, which all negatively impact your opponents in some way. Burn is a status effect that will reduce your opponent's hit points at the end of each turn based on the potency on them. Bleed will damage your opponent whenever they use a skill. Rupture will apply fixed damage to your opponent when you hit them with a skill. Sinking will reduce your opponent's sanity when they are hit by an attack skill which can cause them to roll worse on their attacks. Finally, tremor will increase your opponent’s stagger threshold whenever you hit them with a tremor burst, allowing you to stun them easier. These status effects help determine what identities you use based on what you think you need.

Positive status effects are what you can apply to your own identities to help them hit harder or use an enhanced skill. The main positive effects are charge, poise, attack power up, and defense power up. Charge is used by a few identities to make their attacks stronger once they have enough charge count and is generally gained from their first skill. Poise is an effect that allows identities to critically hit to do additional damage to their opponents. Attack power up has many forms, but they all generally allow your identity to roll higher and deal more damage to their enemies. Defense power up also has many forms, but generally allows your identities to take more hits, or have a stronger defense skill.
