Information About Sin Types
Sin types are the different elements of Limbus Company and can vary based on identity. This game’s elements are based off the seven deadly sins, and are wrath, lust, sloth, gluttony, pride, gloom, and envy. Each of these is its own unique damage type and can be put into something called a resonance chain. The resonance chain has two different types being normal resonance and absolute resonance. Normal resonance is obtained when two or more of the same sin type is in the chain but is not next to each other. Absolute resonance, however, is when three or more of the same sins are used back-to-back, allowing for an even greater damage boost.
Sin types also have a secondary use, as they give you ego resources based off which sin is used. These ego resources allow you to use special attacks, or egos, which allow your identities to use the power of an abnormality to use a powerful attack. These egos can get you out of situations where you might not have the best odds at winning a clash and need something to quickly turn the tide of the battle. They are also affected by resonance chains and usually gain special effects based on how much resonance they have upon use. Overall, sin types and resonance play a huge part in battles and add a layer of complexity to teambuilding.
